These Terms of Service govern use of bakken.run, a digital endurance training service operated by Bakken Performance. By using the service, the user agrees to these terms.
1. Operator
bakken.run is operated by Bakken Performance, by Marius Bakken, a physician, former Olympic runner, and endurance training author based in Norway.
2. Service purpose
bakken.run provides endurance training resources, structured training guidance, workout planning, and training-related data services. The service may include integrations with third-party platforms, including Garmin, where authorized by the user.
3. No medical advice
The service provides training-related information and guidance. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users are responsible for exercising judgment and should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing training if they have medical concerns, symptoms, injury, or relevant health conditions.
4. User responsibility
Endurance training involves physical strain and risk. Users are responsible for their own training decisions, safety, health status, equipment, environment, and compliance with local laws and safety conditions.
5. Connected services
If the user connects a third-party service such as Garmin, the user authorizes bakken.run to exchange data with that service within the permissions granted. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Accounts and access
Users are responsible for keeping account information secure and for all activity under their account. Access to the service may be limited, suspended, or terminated if these terms are violated or if misuse, security risk, or unlawful activity is suspected.
7. Intellectual property
The service, training materials, text, designs, logic, systems, and other content are owned by or licensed to Bakken Performance unless otherwise stated. Users may not copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the service or its content without written permission.
8. Availability and changes
bakken.run may be updated, changed, interrupted, or discontinued. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device, platform, or third-party service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bakken Performance is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for injury, training outcomes, race outcomes, data loss, service interruption, or third-party platform issues arising from use of the service.

11. Changes to these terms
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
